Community InvolvementFor over a century, being a good corporate citizen has been an essential part of who we are. In our many communities, we are known for generously sponsoring diverse causes that enhance the quality of life for our employees and their families. In Brazil, all company units include social assistance facilities, and we also sponsor programs and services offered by the Educational and Medical-Dental Center at Montes Claros. In the U.S., we have been involved on a national level in raising funds for the Susan G. Komen for the Cure Breast Cancer Research Foundation through special merchandising programs. We also understand the value of a good night's sleep, and to that end our Wamsutta brand is a supporter of the National Sleep Foundation and its public education and awareness initiatives surrounding the importance of healthy sleep habits. We care for the residents of our community, and the land on which we live and work. Our commitment to community is seen in efforts such as our partnership with the Katawba Valley Land Trust, through which we have set aside, in a conservation easement, sensitive environmental features along company property at Cane Creek in Lancaster County, S.C., helping to protect this community treasure and environmental asset.
